The Coolum Advertiser covers the spectacular Sunshine Coast area from Peregian to Bli Bli with a free fortnightly tabloid style publication featuring a diverse range of content encompassing local news and sport, education and innovation, history, local politics, arts and culture, small business, and community and non-profit stories and events. January 2019 has seen an update of the masthead and layout to create a more relaxed feel and easy-to-read format which we feel is more reflective of the vibrant, laid back coastal lifestyle. With more and more people moving to the area, we see our publication as being as a trusted source of information and an essential link for the community to be informed and involved. With regular columnists, letters to the editor, a free community noticeboard for non-profit organisations, and even free classifieds for household items under $250, the Advertiser has something for everyone.

Brief history, ownership, etc The Coolum Advertiser is a locally owned and operated community newspaper which was born in 1990 to service the growing Coolum region of the Sunshine Coast. Kerry Brown added the Advertiser to her stable of publications in 2016, and in June 2018 the mantle was passed to the current owner, newcomer to print media Michelle Box.
